Our Story - Henrietta Street Cafe

Blond Catering was established in 2008 Jesper realised his vision to create Sydney’s premium catering and events company producing exquisite food. After operating his own restaurant in the coastal resort town of Hombæk, in Denmark, Director and Executive Chef Jesper Hansen set off in 2001 to see the world, making it only as far as Australia. Whilst he fell in love with the people, culture and lifestyle, it was the county’s eclectic food scene that really resonated with Hansen – something which continues to this day. Quickly establishing himself as an industry favourite, he has appeared extensively in the media, including guest spots on SBS’s Food Safari – where his signature dish was also included in the show’s official Recipe Book – as well as features in major publications like Marie Claire and the Australian Restaurant & Catering Magazine.

Blond’s proven ability to operate successfully across both restaurant and event catering operations demonstrates the capacity and depth of the business acumen and structure of human resources. Since inception, Jesper has tantalized Sydney’s catering scene with his epicurean expertise supported by an equally talented and passionate team of culinary experts. The skilled team of culinary professionals has experience in a diverse range of bespoke and large-scale commercial kitchens and venues. From an intimate casual lunch for 10 in cafes, to a seated gala dinner for 500 guests and everything in between, Jesper and the team have successfully executed countless memorable dining experiences for their guests. This has been reflected in consistently being awarded R&CA’s Awards for Excellence throughout the years, making them one of the most sought-after gold licenced caterers in Sydney.
